As VP of Entrepreneurship, Jay’s primary focus at CED is organizing the expertise of the network to provide guidance, mentorship (through programs such as CED-GRO), and capital to the approximately 1,800 entrepreneurial companies within the CED ecosystem. 

Enhance CED's relationship with angel and venture capital investors providing introductions and insight into the most promising area companies.

Advising entrepreneurs seeking investment to refine and perfect their investor pitches as well as targeting the best investors for their business.

Advising entrepreneurs on attracting talent, community resources, access funding, go-to-market strategy, and business viability.

Jay serves on the NCIDEA Grant Review Committee, and on NC State University Chancellor's Innovation Fund Selection Committee.

Jay has worked in two startups and three scale-ups where he launched new products, drove business development efforts and strategic planning. He earned his B.S in Business Administration from Drexel University.
